The "Be Positive" Challenge

I'M A NOTORIOUSLY NEGATIVE PERSON. There I said it. I'm honest to God negative about everything, and everyone. It's a problem. I think like all problems, if you don't try to solve it in some way it grows and it grows until it becomes unbearably unmanageable. That is almost nearly at the state I am at right now. Lately it's come to things about myself. I am just so negative about myself it's disheartening. Even that statement was extremely negative. How does one "de-negatize" themselves into a positive person? Easy. A challenge. Oxymoron? Precisely.

I challenge ya'll to be positive when you hate it the most. Cruel doesn't even begin to describe this challenge. Will it be  EXTREMELY difficult? Yes. Can you do it? Probably. Will you do it? That choice is all yours. You and only you have the choice to be positive. So be positive.

Start the day out by giving yourself compliments. End the day by giving yourself compliments. Who knows? Maybe it'll make you a little more confident. Give other people compliments. It'll make them more confident. That's called spreading positively.

Smile more. Happy people spread happiness. Simple.

Embrace a "quirky" characteristic you possess. Tell yourself it's great. Love it. Flaunt it. Make it your favorite characteristic. Maybe you're extremely short. Tell yourself short people have loads of fun, cause they do. Maybe you're taller than the average giraffe. Tell yourself that tall people have a great perspective of life. Maybe you have large ears? Well, I heard they hear better. Maybe your hair is a mess of curls. Love that mess of curls. Love everything about yourself. You'll come to love yourself.

When a terrible thing happens to you don't get pissed at the Universe. Yes it is her fault, but she's also just trying to relay  a little message to you. Like "For Christ sake be more positive lady!" she yells as  a series of sh*** went down this week. We love her and hate her don't we?

When you do something right, tell yourself that you're doing great. If you do something wrong, tell yourself that you're doing great. When you're just not getting it, tell yourself that you're doing great. Hey you. Yes, YOU. You're doing great!
