Menu for Today

I'M A GREAT BEGINNER. I always start out confident, motivated, and strong. I say things will be different, and usually they are. 

Then I slide a bit. I'm the kind of person who can't stop slipping once they've slid, if that makes sense. Basically the saying, "it's all downhill from there" completely applies to me ninety percent of the time. I'm not being negative, just honest.

This "new stage" in my life though isn't just a phase, and that's how I know things will be different. I know that I can eat a slice of pizza, but not completely give up on being healthy. That's because being healthy is being happy. If pizza makes you happy, then why not splurge once in a while? Just don't over do it. That's key to anything. Balance.

So here's what was on the menu today, and guess what? I'm completely happy with everything on it:

Breakfast: Kale Smoothie

Lunch: Chocolate chip pancakes,
Red potatoes,
And eggs with cheese

Dinner: Blackbean burger
Salad with champagne dressing

Snacks: Almonds

Dessert: Rasberry sorbet

Drinks: WATER, WATER, WATER!

There you go. That's everything. Nothing hidden, and unashamed. I think we live in a kind of society where people become so self conscious about what they eat, and not how they eat.

I choose to eat healthily. However I also choose not to deprive myself of certain joys.

Regrets? I have a few. The first one: not getting the triple stack for lunch. Oh well...
